Organizations

Create and manage organizations for team collaboration, member roles, and billing.

Organizations let you collaborate with your team in VectorChat. Share agents, knowledge bases, and integrations across your organization.

Personal vs. Organization Workspace

Every user has a Personal workspace by default — your private space for agents and conversations. Organizations provide shared workspaces for team collaboration.

Creating an Organization

  1. Open the organization switcher in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create Organization.
  3. Enter a name, optionally customize the URL slug and description.
  4. Click Create.

You'll automatically become the Owner.

Member Roles

RolePermissions
OwnerFull access. Manage billing, delete org, manage all members.
AdminManage members, invitations, and org settings.
MemberUse shared agents and resources.
BillingView and manage billing information.

Inviting Members

  1. Go to your organization's settings.
  2. Click Invite Member.
  3. Enter the email address and select a role.
  4. Click Send Invite.

Existing VectorChat users are added immediately. New users receive an invitation link valid for 7 days.

When a new user signs up with an email that has pending invitations, they're automatically added to those organizations.

Managing Members

Admins and owners can change roles and remove members from the members list. Members can also leave on their own.

Billing and Plans

Organizations operate on plan tiers that determine features and seat limits. When the seat limit is reached, upgrade or remove members to invite new ones. Subscription management is handled through Stripe.

An organization with an active subscription cannot be deleted. Cancel the subscription first.

Switching Between Workspaces

Use the organization switcher in the sidebar to move between your Personal workspace and any organizations you belong to.
